My Bio
Website | Zondervan | Amazon | Twitter | tumblr | Pinterest

The Threshold Series is available in hardcover & e-book formats from Zondervan. A supernatural adventure for ages 11 and up. Complete in 4 volumes. Fourteen-year-old Prissie Pomeroy stumbles into an adventure on her way to the mailbox. Invisible doors, angels in disguise, kidnapped comrades, demonic minions, divine messengers, sword fights, winged rescuers, shared dreams, and apple pie.

I also write fantasy under my maiden name, C. J. Milbrandt.
Galleries of Stone - Book One: Meadowsweet introduces a world where magical mountains are entrusted to master sculptors like Freydolf. Necessity drives this recluse from the Statuary to search for a new servant. When he chooses Tupper Meadowsweet, everything changes ... for both of them. Genres: Fantasy, Friendship, Adventure. Rating: PG

Byways - Three brothers take sibling rivalry to new lengths as they race each other across their homeland. Genres: Fantasy, Adventure, Coming of Age. Rating: G (chapter books for young readers).
Three cheers for artistic collaboration! When my publisher asked if I had any artists in mind to do illustrations for a short story I'd written, I chose Turtle-Arts (https://www.deviantart.com/turtle-arts), local deviant extraordinaire. I'm a perpetual lurker on her commissions list, so I was thrilled when Zondervan contracted her for this project (and at least two more to come!) I'm the author of the Threshold Series, a supernatural adventure involving angels that's appropriate for tween/teen readers [Zondervan Publishing]. Book 1 is titled The Blue Door. Prissie never expected to stumble into an adventure on her way to the mailbox. Invisible doors, angels in disguise, kidnap

I spy something blue... For this grouping, I'm leaning towards blues with hints of turquoise/green. :thumb112986580: :thumb223041771: :thumb271206057: :thumb106877859: :thumb326604634: :thumb259059441: :thumb263483433: :thumb275415892: :thumb316146548: :thumb189862612: :thumb321039891: :thumb244712444: :thumb340893679: :thumb136211919: :thumb217656466: :thumb263730994: :thumb97375347: :thumb276980792: :thumb68890771: :thumb282216083: :thumb217581765: :thumb333951355: :thumb94653951: :thumb198158995: :thumb204253430: :thumb198030002: :thumb59366506: :thumb341280921: :thumb196928246: :thumb122355242: :thumb171658909: :thumb158418585: :thumb12

OMG I can't believe I found you on DA!!! :D I LOVE the Threshold series so much!!! It's so amazing and so inspiring! I'm an aspiring writer and I really look up to you and your writing! God bless you and your amazing work!!!
Oh hey, don't mind me. I'm just going to lie here in an incoherent puddle of feelings and hopefully you be able to tell I just read the first book of Galleries of Stone.

In all seriousness though, I adore the story. I spent a couple hours I should have been using to pack to read it because I didn't want to stop. If it is hardbound or is going to become hardbound, I will buy that book in an instant.

Thanks you for a wonderful couple hours of reading <3
Aww! Thank you! I'm delighted that you enjoyed Galleries of Stone. It's not in print format at this time, but someday!
Yeah, I can't wait to read the other two books when I can squeeze in the time <3

Trying out the new comment feature!

i'm only a teen but i am currently writing chapter 3 of my book. i dont have a clue what the story is yet. i am making it up as i go along.should i have a plan?

my first paragraph is this:

The Moon. An echo of what is, what was and what is still to be. Seems so far away. Makes us feel like we shouldn't be here. Like we should be out there exploring. One day we could be. Living, breathing, caring. Where our race would thrive and build a new empire. I was 15.
I rarely start in on a story until I have some idea of the ultimate destination. That way, I'm working toward something. It gives the story a sense of purpose. In a word: plot.

If you're not sure where your story is supposed to be going, try writing a one-page synopsis. By summarizing your storytelling goals, structure emerges. Keep your eyes open for turning points. An unexpected twist will keep your reader turning pages.

Keep with it!
