We hunt dragons, trusting our luck.
:iconsixwordstories:

INSPIRATION PROJECT

I borrowed inspiration from AngelRide's poem, Celestial Force. Somehow, I managed to twist her use of "bounty" into the mental image of a rag-tag crew of hunters who trust in themselves more than the fabled luck their prey is meant to bestow.

:iconangelride: Celestial Force The dragon can be many,
They embody what could be.

For they ride into the wind,
Determined, bold, fearlessly.

Echoes of their feats deafen,
Sometimes in blind fear, we flee.

Other times we want them here,
They bestow luck, bounty.

I remember reading a book that featured bounty hunters and dragons.

It's interesting that dragons are the enemies here, but then I also feel as if the person is feeling particular trepidation because of the fact that they are trusting on something so capricious as luck. :hmm:

Great stuff, anyway. :D
